August 2011 Meeting Summary

Attendance:  18 members & 5 guests

Minutes for July 2011 accepted as read

Treasurer's report accepted as read

LobSTAR Bake 2011:   35 people have signed up so far.  The drop dead date for sign up is Tuesday, 8/9/11.  Guests are ok, but we have to let them know there is no drinking, etc.  Crushstation will be there, there will be pinstriping & our jail and bail.

STAR Vet Rep:  Participating in the Rockland Lobster Festival parade today.

STAR Kids/Teens:  Welcome back Dakotah!
STAR Membership:  Has a list and mails out information to potential members.
Corey has completed his 3 required rides.  Chapter votes on membership ,all in favor, none opposed – welcome to Chapter 150, Corey!
Road Captain:  Brian is leading, Jim is tail gunner

The date for the Dempsey fundraising ride = 9/24/11.  $20/bike, $5/rider.  All money raised will go to the Dempsey Center.

Website Committee:  Needs to meet to get training on the website software

Old Business:  All money raised in this year’s Ride for Strides will go toward our team when they do the Strides Walk in October.

Safety Minute of the Month:  On today’s ride, there are steep spots and NO GUARD RAILS
